Temporary detour and shuttle service for Route 14/14A – Lakeshore West due to closure of Burloak Drive starting May 22, 2026

Due to construction, Metrolinx is implementing a full road closure of Burloak Drive, between Harvester Road and Superior Court starting Friday May 22, 2026 at 12:01 a.m. to Sunday, June 1, 2026 at 6 a.m. As a result, Route 14/14A will be on detour. During the road closure, bike and pedestrian access will not be maintained. 

Alternate transit options

Oakville Transit will service Burlington Transit bus stops along the detour route. Customers are encouraged to use Burlington Transit Route 81 - North Service. 

Additionally, Oakville Transit will operate an express shuttle between Appleby GO and RioCan, weekday evenings, and all-day service on weekends from May 22 to June 1. The shuttle will stop at Appleby GO (Bus bay 4), and Red Oak Boulevard and South Service Road West.

• Weekday evenings: 7:10 to 10:45 p.m.
• Saturdays: 8 a.m. to 10:45 p.m.
• Sundays: 8 a.m. to 7:50 p.m.

Additional information

Although the detour will be in effect, out of service bus stops will appear active on the Oakville Transit website, app, and online schedules.
