Due to construction, Metrolinx is implementing a full road closure of Burloak Drive, between Harvester Road and Superior Court starting Friday May 22, 2026 at 12:01 a.m. to Sunday, June 1, 2026 at 6 a.m.
As a result, Route 14/14A will be on detour. The detour will go along Appleby Line to New Street to Burloak Drive.
During the road closure, bike and pedestrian access will not be maintained.
Although the detour will be in effect, out of service bus stops will appear active on the Oakville Transit website, app, and online schedules.
Oakville Transit will service Burlington Transit bus stops along the detour route. Customers are encouraged to use Burlington Transit Route 81 - North Service.
Additionally, Oakville Transit will operate an express shuttle between Appleby GO and RioCan Centre, weekday evenings, and all-day service on weekends from May 22 to June 1. The shuttle will stop at Appleby GO (Bus bay 4), and Red Oak Boulevard at South Service Road West (RioCan Centre).
Stop #2186 has been temporarily relocated due to Burloak Drive closure. Please use nearby temporary stop located 100 metres east on Fairview Street.
Burloak Drive is expected to reopen on Monday, June 1, therefore Route 14/14A – Lakeshore West will resume regular routing, including servicing the RioCan Centre.
