About Us

Proudly providing transit service to Oakville residents for over 50 years.

Our services

Providing Oakville with transit service since 1972, we are responsible for operating fixed route, on-demand and specialized transit services.

We operate a fleet of 101 conventional buses and provide service on 22 fixed routes and eight school specials. We also operate 24 small capacity transit vehicles for specialized service (care-A-van) and on-demand services (Home to Hub).

Conventional services operate within the boundaries of Oakville for a total service area of roughly 140 square kilometres. These services connect with Burlington Transit to the west and MiWay (Mississauga Transit) to the east.

Oakville Transit connects with GO Transit’s Lakeshore West Train service at four different stations; Bronte GO, Oakville GO, Clarkson GO (Mississauga), and Appleby GO (Burlington). Connection with GO Transit bus services is available at these same stations, with additional connections at the GO Transit Carpool lots at Dundas Street/Highway 407 and Trafalgar Road/Highway 407.

  • Rainwater collection system for reuse in the bus wash
  • Building materials with recycled content
  • Energy efficient lighting and water efficient fixtures
