New bus stop at Bronte Road and Saw Whet Boulevard, effective Monday, January 19, 2026

We’re excited to announce the new addition of bus stop #3465, located on Bronte Road, south of Saw Whet Boulevard. The new stop will be in service effective Monday, January 19, 2026. This addition improves transit access for our community and strengthens connectivity along Route 6 – Upper Middle, Route 13 – Westoak Trails, and Route 34 – Pine Glen.

What’s new?

• The new bus bay is now complete.
• A permanent sidewalk has been installed.
• Pedestrian signals are in place to enhance safety.

Looking ahead

We still have some work left to do, including: 

• Painting crosswalks
• Adding pedestrian safety features
• Improving accessibility upgrades
• Installing a transit shelter and waste receptacle

Trip planning

Although the bus stop is active and in service as of January 19, 2026, updates to the schedules and map on the Oakville Transit website and mobile app, and online schedules (such as Google Maps) will be reflected effective March 1, 2026.
