New bus stop infrastructure being added to stops on Routes 1 and 37

Construction details

Halton Region will be installing infrastructure to support a new bus stop at Trafalgar Road and Threshing Mill Boulevard. 

Construction is scheduled to begin on October 20, 2025, and is expected to take approximately three weeks, weather permitting. 

What to expect during construction

• Temporary sidewalk and lane closures
• Construction equipment and noise in the area
• Possible detours for pedestrians
• Minor delays for transit service along Route 1 – Trafalgar
• Minor delays for transit service along Route 37 – Glenorchy 

Once construction is complete, a new bus stop will be installed at this location to improve transit access for the community.
