Transit Shelter Replacement Program starting week of May 11, 2026

Monday, May 11, 2026

Oakville Transit is undertaking transit shelter upgrades to support safer, more accessible, and longer lasting bus stop infrastructure across the community.

Beginning this week, select transit shelters will be temporarily removed to allow for concrete remediation and site repairs. This work is required to address aging infrastructure and prepare locations for replacement shelters at end of life. Construction will continue through the Spring and Summer.

What this means for customers

  • Bus service will continue as scheduled, with bus stop signage remaining in place during construction
