Detour update - February 18, 2026
As a result of poor weather conditions, the detour has been extended until further notice. The bus stops will be back in service once the flood mitigation work has been completed.
Holton Heights Drive will be closed again from Hillview Crescent to Lambeth Road due to basement flooding mitigation.
- Bus stops #2765, #2767, #2768 and #2764, located on Holton Heights, will not be serviced.
- Bus stops #2292, #3437, and #2293, located along Eighth Line going northbound, Route 20 – Northridge, will be available to accommodate the route 26 - Falgarwood detour to Grand Boulevard.
Although bus stops #2765, # 2767, #2768, and #2764 are listed as out of service during construction, updates to the Oakville Transit website, app, and online schedules, such as Google Maps will note be updated.

Original service update from January 8, 2026
Effective Monday, January 12, 2026, Holton Heights Drive will be closed from Hillview Crescent to Lambeth Road due to basement flooding mitigation work. The road is expected to reopen by February 14, 2026. The detour will remain in effect until this time.
Out of service stops
Bus stops #2765, #2767, and #2768, located on Holton Heights, will not be serviced during the construction period.
The out of service stops will not be reflected on the route schedules and maps on the Oakville Transit website or app, nor will they be reflected on online schedules, such as Google Maps.
Alternate stops
Bus stops #2292, #3437, and #2293, located along Eighth Line going northbound, Route 20 – Northridge, will be available to accommodate the route 26 - Falgarwood detour to Grand Boulevard.
