MTO construction project at QEW Sixteen Mile Creek Bridge may cause traffic delays, May 25 to October 23, 2026

MTO construction will be underway on the QEW eastbound (Toronto-bound) at Sixteen Mile Creek Bridge as part of a Ministry of Transportation project, from May 25 to October 23, 2026. Traffic delays are possible.

Key impacts:

• Dorval Drive (northbound direction) to QEW eastbound on-ramp will be closed for the duration of the project.
• A signed detour will be in place.
• Lane closures on the QEW eastbound will occur during the day, overnight, and on weekends.

Transit service:

• Oakville Transit routes will be detoured for the duration of the ramp closure.
• Customers should expect increased traffic congestion and delays, particularly during peak periods and weekend work.

• Customers and should expect delays due to increased traffic congestion near the QEW and surrounding road network.
