Oakville Transit customers travelling on Route 5 – Dundas may experience delays, and temporary bus stop impacts due to road resurfacing along Dundas Street West from Appleby Line (Regional Road 20) and Tremaine Road (Regional Road 22). 

This project will address future traffic demands and provide safe travel options for motorists, pedestrians, and cyclists. Road resurfacing work will reduce Dundas Street West to two lanes in each direction. 

Transit impacts

• Route 5 buses will continue to operate, delays are expected 
• Rolling bus stop closures may occur as equipment moves through the corridor 
• Crews will aim to maintain safe access to bus stops where possible; however, some stops may be temporarily closed for safety 
• Bus operators will stop at the closest, safest location 

Timeline

• Overall project completion: Anticipated by December 2026 (weather dependent)
