Canada Day Event Service

Pay the regular fare on the way in. Enjoy a free ride on your way home.

Think green, wear red and ride Oakville Transit from the Bronte GO Station to Oakville’s Canada Day 150th Celebration on Saturday, July 1 from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. at Bronte Heritage Waterfront Park.

Pick up and drop off locations:

Bronte GO Station – Wyecroft Road
Bronte Cenotaph – Lakeshore Road, south side, west of Bronte Road

The bus will leave approximately every six minutes starting at 10:50 a.m.

care-A-van will pick up and drop off at Jones Street and Ontario Street.

Routes 3 and 14

All Oakville Transit routes will run on Saturday service schedules on July 1, 2017.

Route 3 Third Line will provide service every 30 minutes all day and evening. Open the July 1 Route 3 schedule (pdf, 257kb) for details.

Pay the regular fare on the way to the event. 
Free ride on your way home from the following bus stops:

  • at the Cenotaph
  • Lakeshore and Bronte, bus stops #2336 and #2337
  • Lakeshore and Jones, bus stops #2338 and #2339
  • Lakeshore and Nelson, bus stops #2340 and #2457
  • Lakeshore and East, bus stops #2341 and #2458

Lakeshore Road West will be closed starting at 8 p.m. and buses will be detoured:

Route 3 will travel south on Bronte Road, turn around at the Cenotaph, north on Bronte Road to Rebecca Street, east on Rebecca Street to South Oakville Centre and resume regular route.

Route 14 will use Rebecca Street and Bronte Road in both directions.
