Santa is taking over the bus routes!
The annual Oakville Santa Claus Parade will take place Saturday, November 16 (rain or shine). The parade begins at 9 a.m. at the intersection of Lakeshore Road East and Reynolds Street, Downtown Oakville. Parking will be limited and streets will be blocked off to regular traffic for the duration of the parade.
A free Oakville Transit Santa Shuttle will operate from the Oakville GO Station to the Trafalgar Park Community Centre as an easy and reliable way to access Downtown Oakville to watch the parade.
Free Santa Shuttle service
The free Santa Shuttle will operate between the Oakville GO station and the Trafalgar Park Community Centre at Kerr Street and Rebecca Street.
- There will be Free Santa Shuttles leaving the Oakville GO starting at 8 a.m. to Trafalgar Park Community Centre.
- The last shuttle will return to the Oakville GO from the Trafalgar Park Community Centre at 11:30 a.m.
Please note for safety reasons, children must be removed from strollers and/or wagons while on the bus. Strollers must be folded and wagons placed in an upright position.
Temporary route detours during the parade
The following routes will be detoured from 6 a.m. to approximately noon due to road closures for the parade.
- Route 14/14A will travel on Rebecca, Dorval, Speers and Cross in both directions.
- Route 15 will travel on Mary, Dorval, Speers and Cross in both directions.
