Santa Claus Parade information
The annual Oakville Santa Claus Parade will take place on Saturday, November 16 at 9 a.m. (rain or shine). Parking is limited so take advantage of our free Santa Shuttle. Visit the Oakville Santa Claus Parade website for more parade information.
Routes 2, 14, 15 and 17 will be on detour due to the parade, from 7 a.m. to approximately 11:30 a.m. Detour routings are outlined below.
Free shuttle service
Shuttle service will operate every 10 minutes between the Oakville GO station and downtown Oakville, starting at 8 a.m. until approximately 11:15 a.m.
The last shuttle bus to return to the Oakville GO station will leave downtown Oakville (Church St. and Dunn St.) at approximately 11:25 a.m.
Route 2 detour
Eastbound will travel Lakeshore, Dorval, Speers, Cornwall, Reynolds, Church, Allan, Lakeshore and continue on regular route.
Westbound will travel Lakeshore to Allan, Randall, Reynolds, Cornwall, Speers, Dorval, Lakeshore and continue on regular route.
Route 14 detour
To Burloak Drive will travel west on Speers to Dorval, south on Dorval to Rebecca, and continue on regular route.
To Oakville GO station will travel on Rebecca until Dorval, north on Dorval, east on Speers and Cross into the GO station.
Route 15 detour
To South Oakville Centre will travel west on Speers, south on Dorval, west on Mary and continue on regular route.
To Oakville GO station will travel regular route to Fourth Line, Mary, north on Dorval, east on Speers and Cross to the GO station.
Route 17 detour
To Downtown will travel west on Speers, north on Kerr, east on Shepherd to Queen Mary, south on Queen Mary, Bond, Chisholm, and continue on regular route to Church and Dunn.
To Oakville GO station will travel regular route to Forsythe, north on Queen Mary, Shepherd, Kerr, Speers and Cross into the GO station.
