You can purchase a PRESTO card:
- Online at prestocard.ca (it may take up to five business days to receive your new card in the mail)
- Oakville Town Hall, 1225 Trafalgar Road
- Oakville Transit office, 430 Wyecroft Road

- Iroquois Ridge Library, 1051 Glenashton Drive
- Glen Abbey Library, 1415 Third Line
- Central Library, 120 Navy Street
- Woodside Library, 1274 Rebecca Street
- Oakville, Bronte and Clarkson GO Transit stations
There is a $6 issuance cost to purchase a PRESTO card. The card is good for a minimum of four years. To activate your card, you must load a minimum of $10 onto the card.
Configure your PRESTO card to student, in-person at any location from the above list, to ensure you are charged the student discounted rate. Load up your card with money and then when you ride transit, the trip fare is deducted from your card. There is a built-in loyalty program and Oakville Transit riders will receive fare discounts based on the number of rides taken and the value of the fares accumulated within the calendar month.
Child concession — A child fare applies to those 6 to 12 years of age inclusive. As of 13 years of age, PRESTO cards need to be reprogrammed to a student card at one of the PRESTO locations. Cards that are not reprogrammed will automatically deduct an adult fare.
Student concession — A student concession is valid for students 19 years and under who are attending full time secondary school only. On August 31 of their 18th year, the student must provide proof of full time secondary school enrollment and to have their PRESTO card configured accordingly. University, college, and adult education (any age) students must pay adult fare.
