Effective January 1, 2012, all cash fares will be $3.25. All other ticket and monthly pass costs remain the same.

1 A Student fare is valid for students 19 years and under who are attending primary or full time secondary school only. University, college, and adult education (any age) students must pay adult fare.
2 Unlimited travel for full time elementary and secondary school students on weekday evenings after 4 p.m. and all day on weekends and statutory holidays.

Fare Policies
- Child - 0 to 5 years
- Student - 6 to19 years who are attending primary or full time secondary school only.
- Adult - 20 to 64 years
- Senior - 65 years and over
- Cash - have exact cash ready. Drivers do not carry change.
- Tickets - purchase them before your trip from one of our ticket agents. Put them into the farebox when you board. Tickets are non-refundable.
- Monthly Passes - purchased at a ticket agent, you must show these to the driver each time you board. Monthly passes are non-refundable, non-transferable and cannot be replaced if lost or stolen.
- GO Transit Tickets/Passes/PRESTO - when you are planning to travel on a GO Train, you may ride the bus for $0.65 to or from the GO Station. Show your valid GO Transit ticket/pass to your driver each time you board. Deposit $0.65 into the farebox when travelling to or from a GO rail station only. Sheridan College GO bus terminal and along Trafalgar Road are valid for co-fare discount only with PRESTO cards. PRESTO users receive an automatic co-fare discount when transferring between GO Train or GO Bus service and Oakville Transit across the entire network, not just at rail stations. PRESTO transfers must occur within 2 1/2 hours. GO Group passes do not qualify for $0.65 rides. For more information please visit the GO Transit website.
- Transfers - are time expired. Free transfers will be valid for travel in all directions on any route, to any transit system (except GO Transit and TTC) within the two hour transfer window. The transfer window begins from the time of the first boarding. Transfers will not be "re-issued" to continue travel beyond the two hour window. A new fare is required when the transfer expires. Transfers are considered void if mutilated.
- Transferring to and from Mississauga - MiWay passes are accepted at connecting locations to continue the next trip into Oakville. A transfer will not be issued. Oakville Transit monthly pass holders must request a paper transfer from the last Oakville Transit bus prior to transferring to MiWay. Read more about the new transfer policy.
- GTA Weekly Pass - is not valid on Oakville Transit buses. Customers with a GTA Weekly Pass who wish to transfer from Mississauga into Oakville must ask the Mississauga driver for a transfer at the time of boarding the Mississauga bus.
- Oakville Transit only accept exact cash, valid transfers, Oakville Transit tickets, passes, and PRESTO card.
Standard Policies
- Shirts and shoes are required
- Only working dogs are allowed on buses. Other small pets may be transported in steel/plastic cages which are locked.
- In line skates must be removed before boarding the bus.
- Bicycles must be secured in the bike rack on the front of the bus.
- Bicycles and other large objects are not permitted inside the bus for the safety of other passengers.
- If you are standing, remain behind the driver's compartment.
For passenger safety and comfort please:
- do not carry on lengthy conversations with the drivers
- do not smoke, eat and/or drink on the buses
- do not exit from the front door, please use the rear door
- do not leave your child in his/her stroller - strollers must be folded
